Hey you guys! I decided I wanted one of my first blog posts to be about my skincare routine since it’s not only something I’m trying to get better at, but it’s also one of my New Year’s Resolutions. Ever since doing this routine, I’ve seen a dramatic decrease in my acne and blemishes, and I just feel so refreshed afterward. I have combination skin so sometimes finding the right products can be tricky, but after trying all of these products and adding them to my routine, I definitely recommend them all!
Step 1:
The first thing I do if I’m wearing makeup is I remove it with either my Neutrogena makeup remover wipes or my Garnier Micellar Water, depending on which I see first. These products do such a good job of getting the majority of my makeup off before I even wash my face. Remember to wipe down around your ears and your décolletage if you blend your makeup past your chin as I do.
Step 2:
After I get all my makeup off, I sometimes wipe my face down with a Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing wipe if I’m looking to do a quick wipe down before bed. However, I use these mostly in the morning to freshen up my face as part of my morning routine getting ready for the day. After this, I use Drunk Elephant’s Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. I absolutely love this face wash and it has completely changed my life. I don’t think I’ll go back to another face wash!
Step 3:
Once I’ve washed my face and patted it dry, I wipe down my face with my Laneige Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer. This helps get the last bit of dirt and makeup that didn’t get picked up after the makeup remover and face wash. I usually use cotton pads to apply my toner.
Step 4:
After I’ve wiped down my face with toner, I then move on to my Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum. I pump one to two pumps on my fingertips and gently massage it all over my face, focusing on my cheeks where my pores are largest.
Step 5:
After the pore serum has been absorbed, I then go in with my Sephora Collection Rose Quartz Facial Roller and my Herbivore PRISM Exfoliating Glow Potion. I put a little drop of the potion on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. I then take the roller and rub it in using upward strokes (going against gravity to prevent wrinkles!). I always store my facial roller in the fridge so it’s cold when I use it, therefore helping keep my skin tight.
Step 6:
The final step of my nighttime skincare routine is my e.l.f nourishing night cream. I put a few dabs across my face and gently rub it in using upward strokes. I always make sure to start with a small amount to ensure I don’t over-moisturize. I then quickly coat my lips in my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask to keep my lips moisturized throughout the night while I sleep.
There it is! That’s my whole skincare routine. I try to do this every night, but I’m still getting used to taking the time every night to care of my skin. Although this is my nighttime routine, I have many other skincare products that I also use that I can’t wait to share in a later post! Do you use any of these products? Have any that you recommend I try? Let me know in the comments!
